Pitch

We welcome pitches to Tiring House on a range of topics dealing with performance practices and theatre history. We are regularly commissioning work that deals with the upcoming production or current season’s research agenda. We are also happy to feature research and criticism on related projects across the world and in languages other than English.

Please send the Director of Research or Research Assistant an email including the following in two to three paragraphs:

  • What is your topic and why is it timely? Is there an upcoming event, performance, publication, or occasion that lends this topic exigency?
  • What is the insight or approach you bring to the topic? In short: what’s your argument? How are you advancing the public conversation?
  • What particular expertise can you offer on this issue?
  • What are some possible larger ramifications of considering this particular case from your vantage point? For whom?
